This motion-based type specimen showcases Arsenica, a variable serif typeface designed by Francesco Canovaro. Created as a promotional piece for designers and potential customers, the animation highlights the typeface's range of weights, styles, and distinctive characteristics while demonstrating its versatility across applications. The visual language draws directly from Arsenica's elegant and expressive personality, using motion, pacing, and composition to reinforce its refined aesthetic. Rather than functioning as a static catalog of letterforms, the piece presents the typeface as a dynamic design tool capable of adapting to a wide variety of creative contexts.

At this point in the project i was struggling quite a bit. I didn't like the designs that I had come up with and the deadline was fast approaching. I decided to switch gears and went searching for music that i thought matched the typeface. Since I often gain my inspiration from music I thought that finding the audio for the piece would give me some fresh ideas. I was right. I found night fiary waltz by eduard honchuk on motionArray and i was instantly inspired.
